Bendigo SCI Regional Network meeting – December 2017
The Bendigo SCI Regional Network met on December 20 at the Bendigo Stadium Bistro for a Christmas lunch. They didn’t have a guest speaker for this meeting so it was a great opportunity to summarise what the group had achieved in 2017. They talked about how they were going to get new people involved and the possibility of changing the meeting day from Wednesday, as many now work or have study commitments on that day.
It was great to hear what everyone was going to do during the Christmas and New Year period. They exchanged travel stories, and Dean mentioned that he is planning on spending some time in Darwin mid-2018. It has been a number of years since his accident and he hasn’t travelled anywhere since, let alone considered flying anywhere – so this Darwin trip will be his first real holiday since his injury! The whole group talked about trips they had taken and gave Dean some tips and tricks for his.
The group decided that they will skip the January meeting as many people will still be away and hold the first meeting for 2018 in February.
