End of year lunch at the PepperGreen Farm
To celebrate the end of 2019, the Bendigo Regional Network met at the PepperGreen Farm for lunch and planned activities for next year.
Over lunch, the Network had the chance to catch up with members that could not come to the last meeting. They discussed overseas and local travel, traveling by plane, sailing on Lake Weeroona, health, and the importance of using their lived experience to guide hospital staff about looking after people living with spinal cord injury.
Conversations then turned to activities for 2020. The Network agreed to continue to building relationship with the City of Greater Bendigo Council. The group also discussed trying out local attractions, finding local guest speakers on pain management and sleep, and learning more about gold mining tours.
It was a beautiful and sunny day for the meeting, and a relaxing way to end the year.
The PepperGreen Farm is a social enterprise that offers a farm kitchen café, art studio, supportive work environment, and heritage site tours.
People can wander around the community gardens and view the handmade artworks dotted around the Farm.
