SCIAW 2014 - Wheels on Chairs

18 November, 2014

We spent the day at Jardin Tan for Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Week on Saturday 15th of November. We had cardboard wheels that we attached to the outdoor dining chairs, accompanied by table top flyers that had profiles on people with SCI and the following blurb:

There’s no denying that sustaining paraplegia or quadriplegia is traumatic and life changing. However, it is not the end of the story.

You will find people with spinal cord injury pursuing, participating in, and contributing to every part of community life.

Life is about the challenges we face and finding our way to deal with them.

Please take a moment to consider your community and the barriers that exist for people with disabilities to participate.

Jardin Tan was previously the Observatory Cafe, make sure to check out the changes they've made to the cafe, and the tasty new French / Vietnamese menu.
