"It's about life!"
Maya acquired a C5 injury due to tumours in her spinal cord when she was six weeks old. She is currently studying psychology, and also works at a hospital. She enjoys playing the piano, doing wheelchair athletics, and going to concerts. She has also travelled overseas to Europe and Indonesia.
She likes connecting with other people who have spinal cord injuries and having conversations about the shared injuries.
Maya drives a hatchback and transfers independently. She does not have care support, but had teaching aids at school growing up.
